CONCLUSION

The new XSPC X2O 500 while only about half of the pumping power of a D5 pump, is approximately double the power of your typical AIO kit pump and capable of running fairly complex loops with good planning.  Unlike the kit pumps which are maxing out at .5GPM with just the pump, the XSPC X2O 500 is capable of sustaining 1.2 GPM in a CPU only loop and 1GPM in a CPU + Dual GPU + Three Radiators type of condition.  I don’t know what the final retail price will be on these units, but the X2O 750 sells for around $65 and this should be close to that.

XSPC-X2O-500-01

Pros

  • Extreme Value – Assuming cost will be similar to X2O750 $65 for pump + reservoir, where a D5 bay reservoir variant is $160+
  • Compact single bay reservoir
  • G1/4 compatible for any fitting tubing size needed
  • Pump is removable for servicing and cleaning
  • 4-5W of pumping power is capable of much more than CPU only loops
  • Fairly quiet 3dbA rise in ambient noise level and low power consumption should make speed reduction easy via fan controller

Cons

  • Pump power takes some planning efforts, extremely restrictive loops may require an additional pump. Reliability is also something you can’t review and we don’t have any history on this one yet.  It looks well constructed, but only time will tell.

Cheers!
Martin

Thanks for the review Martin. As of today its not selling yet to resellers but I’m sure it will be soon. I’d like to see them get the housing black, aesthetics matter in our business.

This really puts the H100 pump in perspective.

      Thanks Gary,
housing could be painted easy enough with the pump removable, but it would be nice to have it come in black as the factory color.

I hope to round up an H100 pump to verify specs too there is not much for detail out there but planning to do some AIO kit testing in the near future and will break them down and test the pumps then. This H100 estimate is based on the specs I could find.

Tried to get one of these…

    >>Sorry it’s not possible at the moment. We are not happy with the noise level of the pump and we decided not to release it.
